Vasudhaiva kutumbakam – the world is my family. This philosophy is the driving force behind Indian-based content giant Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL). Their new channel, known as ZEE WORLD, is launching on GOtv (channel 24) and DStv (channel 166) on 3 February and will offer a range of scintillating shows, which will grow in variety by the end of 2015.
You’ll be thrilled by nail-biting reality TV, cry your way through bittersweet Bollywood dramas, leap out of your seat with adrenaline-fueled slo-mo’s and even catch a quick nap while the kids watch their favourite shows. And that’s just the beginning. Kicking off the ZEE WORLD launch will be four award-winning series: Saloni, Laali, Married Again, The Promise as well as a myriad of blockbuster Bollywood movies.
ZEEL Chairman, Dr Subhash Chandra’s message is: “We want you to become a part of our growing family” – his aim is to bring authentic and entertaining content to the world stage. And that’s not an exaggeration – ZEEL’s 33 channels reach more than 730 million viewers across 169 countries.
ZEE WORLD’s content is for everyone, a sentiment echoed by Cecil Sunkwa – Mills “We want to keep giving our customers more entertainment choices. ZEE WORLD is a great general entertainment channel filled with shows from India, which will appeal not only to our Indian customers but our broader DStv customer base.”
To make the shows even more accessible, they’ve all been dubbed into English using our very own African talent.
– ZEE WORLD will be available to GOtv and GOtv Plus subscribers on channel 24 from 3 February 2015.
– ZEE WORLD will be available to DStv Premium, Compact Plus, Compact, Family and Access subscribers on channel 166 from 3 February 2015.
Termination of Blackbelt TV on GOtv
MultiChoice announces that from Tuesday, 28 January 2015 Blackbelt TV (channel 12) will no longer be available on the GOtv platform.
In reviewing our offering – which we do on a continual basis – we ensure that our subscribers continue to get a balanced variety of programming. Therefore the channel will be replaced by another exciting channel in February 2015.
