Xenophobic Attacks In South Africa: Zulu King Goodwill Zwelithini Appeals For Calm

Zulu King, Goodwill Zwelithini is calling on South Africans to end the attacks on foreign nationals in the country.

Speaking to thousands of crowds at the Durban stadium, he denied reports that claiming that foreigners should “go back to their countries” were distorted, BBC reports.

“We need to make sure no more foreigners are attacked,” King Zwelithini urged in his speech, continuing that, “If it were true that I said foreigners must go, this country would be up in flames.”

Over 300 people have been arrested in connection with the attacks in the country.
