AC Milan player Kevin Prince is returning to the Black Stars, GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi has confirmed. “Kevin-Prince Boateng had confirmed to thecoach and my good self that he was coming back to play,” he told Supersport on Thursday.
“Let me confirm that before Kwesi Appiah selected his team for the Sudan game Kevin had told the coach and me that he was available for that game.
“Unfortunately, a week before that game, he picked up an injury during training with AC Milan but he told us that he would participate in the team’s games in June.”
The U-Turn comes almost two years after he announced his retirement from international football.
The AC Milan midfielder announced his retirement from the team, over what he said was his inability to accede to “physical demands of playing for both club and country at high levels.”
Boateng’s return should aid a successful Brazil 2014 World Cup qualification, which is few games away.
