UK-based Ghanaian rapper, Charsay , who has gradually become a household name among the Ghanaian community in the UK owning to his fast-paced Twi lyrics, heavy punch lines and comical lyrical delivery, has drawn a lot of comparison with award-winning Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie Since scoring a massive hit with his song, ‘London Bus’. However, the rapper insists that his style is unique and he is very different from Sarkodie.
He said: “I get a lot of views from people who say I sound like Sarkodie but that is their view and sense of listening so I cannot change that at the moment. But what I can tell them is that they should stay tuned and listen to Charsay, and they would be able to distinguish between the two. I know myself, I am Charsay and I cannot be Sarkodie.”charsay.
Charsay, who visits Ghana in December for promotional purposes, hinted that he would be working with EL, Bisa and possibly Sarkodie himself. He also hinted that he has teamed up again with music producer Kaywa, the man behind ‘London Bus’ for a soon to be released new single, which is certified to be bigger than their first work together.
He explained: “I have done another hit with Kaywa and I think it’s bigger than ‘London Bus’. So people should look out for that one. It is titled ‘Mmaa’.”
