From the very moment the producers of the Big Brother Africa reality television show announced Selly and Elikem as Ghana’s representatives for The Chase, we knew we were in for a show full of twists and turns.

Ghana’s other housemates over the years gave us a lot of that: Ras Wayo (now a practicing Lawyer) was evicted after a week; most followers of the show weren’t happy with Mimi and Eazzy’s bad hair days, Confidence came home to a never-ending boob saga, and our most recent BBA bad news DKB was disqualified for slapping the Sierra Leonean bad girl housemate Zainab.

Selly has since arrived home to a number of yawning questions, STI (or if you would STD) and a Sex or No Sex debate.

The Miss Goldenwood maiden winner lost huge points from her rather “erotic” making-up with Nando, with some keen BBA viewers accusing her of cheating on her musician Fiancée Praye Tiatia.

She couldn’t win the 300 000 USD to further her education, buy her mother and herself cars, throw a huge party, start her dream business and renovate her mother’s house as she hoped.

Now, she is a household name, who is trying to reintegrate back into a society that is always quick to judge even before you are given a chance to offer any explanation or whatsoever.’s Abdullai Isshak is so kind he’s throwing in some free tips for her.

Madam, we now know you as Selly from BBA Season 8, and to think most Ghanaians will rate you with the same card they used before your BBA journey would be ridiculous. We are going to expect big things from you.

Confidence’s approach after the very famous boob show-of was to accept she loved her body and would flaunt it any day. Don’t go looking all miserable as though you are the worst sinner on earth. Confidence deflected all the hype around her brand into launching her businesses. She came back a big star and leveraged on her status to expand her chain of night clubs. She didn’t have to necessarily look like an angel.

There was a reason you entered the house apart from winning the cash which may be known to you and to an extent your boo Praye Tiatia only. Don’t let the sex and STD questions arrest you from those reasons at all.

Your efforts should be focused on promoting whatever projects you have up your sleeve. Worrying over whether you truly gave Nando an STI or STD’s can be some work. And oh i forgot to tell you Ghanaians will always have something to say; good or bad, Chlamydia or not.
