Rio Olympics 2016: Ghanaian Judoka Szandra Szogedi Fails To Progress In Women’s 63kg Judo

Ghana’s Szandra Szogedi failed to progress to the next stage after losing in the Women’s 63kg Judo against Brazilian Mariana Silva at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games on Tuesday, August 9, 2016.

Szandra, Ghana’s first female judoka to compete at the Olympic Games is one of the 16 athletes representing Ghana at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games in Brazil.

The 27-year-old first competed for Ghana five years ago and her qualification for the Olympic Games was secured in Kazakhstan in May.
