Daniel Ahadzi, manager of top dancehall artiste, Jupitar has added his opinion to the seemingly brewing ‘beef’ between his artiste and Stonebwoy.
Recalling, Jupitar (real name Michael Ayitey Okine), in a couple of social media posts insinuated that a line in Stonebwoy’s latest single, ‘Migraine’ took a swipe at him.
According to Jupitar’s manager, Daniel Ahadzi, his artiste’s recent endorsement as the only true dancehall artistes by Music Producer and Programs director of Hitz FM, Mark Okraku Mantey may have sparked the jealousy that led to the release of the ‘diss track’ (Migraine) from Stonebwoy.
“Obviously, Mark Okraku Mantey’s open endorsed of Jupitar as the best dancehall artiste in Ghana caused the release of that tune. Does he say it was mere coincidence mentioning the planet Jupiter in a song at this moment? We are not fazed, but it is kinda joke if he keeps going on air to refute that clear indication” says Daniel Ahadzi in a phone interview.
In a recent post, Stonebwoy’s management via social media cautioned that the ‘Jupiter’ mentioned in the song had nothing to do with the artiste and rather refers to the planet, Jupiter, the dancehall act was not convinced or enthused hence released a song titled ‘W.A.R’ within 24 hours to address the issue.
Meanwhile, Stonebwoy, who just returned from Jamaica, indicated in an interview with Joy FM’s MzGee that ‘Migraine’ was not directed at Jupitar or any other artiste. He describes his colleague’s reaction as unfortunate, adding that he cannot be held liable for the misconception.
