Weeks after causing controversies on Ghana’s music scene, popular dancehall act Bandana of Shatta Wale fame is set to announce his upcoming nationwide tour.
The tour will be officially announced at a launching ceremony scheduled for the plush Royal Richester Hotel in Accra.
The launching ceremony will among other activities, disclose details about when the tour will kickoff and places where Bandana will perform as well as the unveiling of other artistes who are onboard the tour.
Bandana is expected bring the best of his Shatta Wale Movement to his fan base, especially the ghetto youth in the upcoming months, when his tour finally hits the music scene.
Bandana has, in recent times, been vocal on issues of concern to him. Few weeks ago, he pulled out of the upcoming Bass Awards. Ahead of the awards’ nominations, he had, on June 2, announced on social network twitter that he was not part of the award.
His tweet said, “I pulled out from the Bass Awards personally because I don’t need it. My fans should not be deceived. SM4LYF.”
Prior to that, he descended heavily on Charter House, organizers of the annual Ghana Music Awards accusing the outfit of illegally awarding the Reggae Dance Hall Song of the Year award to Kaakie.
Just some few minutes after Kaakie was announced winner of that category which also had Bandana, Blakk Rasta, Eazzy, Knii Lante and Samini as contenders, the artiste popularly known for the hit song ‘Bandana From Ghana’took to social media platform Twitter to vent his anger at the organizers.
Bandana did not spare Kaakie, who walked away with two awards on the night. He said: “F**k Kaakie who (can’t) even write her own music…I know how they did this…but trus mi we kno how to handle dis.”
On May 22, Bandana tweeted, “I apologise if my diss to Kaakie has worried some women across da nation. I did it for a reason.”
