Ghanaian international music star, Rocky Dawuni has appealed to musicians in Ghana to exercise a spirit of humility and open mindedness if they intend to succeed on the international scene.
According to him, the success of his musical career was due to investments he made in hard work and a good management team.
“When you open yourself and you also approach everything with a sense of humility, knowledge will be abound for one’s advancement.”
According to Dawuni “no matter how you grow, you have to always be humble enough for people to be able to help you move forward… because some of the artists are in a hurry to get popular, sometimes they come out with classic works and then after that, because they want to get popular they start putting out too much material and this demystifies their capabilities.”
Rocky Dawuni burst on to the African and world reggae scene in 1996 with the release of his debut recording, The Movement.
The artists’ introspective journey into social and spiritual consciousness garnered rave reviews in the world. Rocky has received extensive airplay on flagship stations across the world.
