Okyeame Kwame

One common feature of Okyeame Kwame ‘s videos is the presence of imagery and symbolism.Well, at least, this is noticed in Sika, Woara, Mr. Versatile, Anaa, and his recent video with J Matins, Try Another Time.

He would either express the theme of each video with gestures or objects. But that is not the main focus of this article. It is just to commend his efforts and his video directors.

This article will discuss the release of Okyeame Kwame’s Try Another Time video, its audience reception and its content.

The video was released on television and the online media on April 3, 2014. Okyeame Kwame must have agreed to the fact that it had kept so long in coming out and thus explains that the delay of its release was due to his intention to have it suit the World Cup, adding that it will serve as a means of motivating the Ghana Black Stars to press on to the final division of the World Cup.

Just like every other video he has released over the years, Okyeame Kwame’s Try Another Time had warm reception from his fans and audience.

Most of its viewers say it is a positive move and a clean video. GhOne also listed it as the best of Okyeame Kwame’s top five music videos on its program, Rhythmz.

The Guaranty Trust Bank / GT Crea8 Ambassador, Okyeame Kwame has also received appraisal of his constant projection of African elements in the video.

To say that the video is one of the most decent music videos in town now is plausible. In fact, Okyeame together with the video producer was adept with every step taken and ensured a good photographical Point of View. It contained no element of nudity.

The content of the video is very warm and lively.Try Another Time basically promotes perseverance. It obviously tells every listener to Try Another Time when things or situations seem impossible to handle.

What about the video’s story line? There is the soccer aspect accompanied with various inscriptions telling how life is sometimes creepy, and then it advises on how best obstacles can be used as opportunities. Okyeame Kwame in a black jacket with yellow stripe recites lyrics about discouraging situations which is very relative to what many people might be going through. Then he advises everyone to try one more time or try another time.

Okyeame Kwame explains that the relationship between the young and the adult footballers is the fact that Ghana is facing the best teams in its first group; this, in which sense the young footballers stand for Ghana and the adults stand for the other group of countries.

That said, there is a little hitch in the storyline of the footballers. It did not clearly portray a situation of trying over and over again. At least there should have been a goal scoring on the part of the adult footballers so that it means the younger ones would have to try to score the adults and then eventually do away with some two goals. But the scene instead had the younger ones score the adults without any rebattle.

Another thing is the fact that the video was shot on only two locations as shown in the video. But apart from the above mentioned factors, the video is splendid, same as the audio.

In fact, he who does not try is like an apple seed planted in a Ghanaian soil. So try, keep trying and it feels like there’s no good result, try another time because the next time can be the best time.
