Cwesi Oteng, often touted as the new sound of gospel music, is one of Ghana’s leading gospel/ inspirational music artistes.Based in the Harbour City of Tema, Cwesi is a recording and performing artiste, songwriter, inspirational icon, creative directorandmotivational speaker who has the call of bringing God’s message of hope, love, peace, transformation and care for humanity upon him. Signed to the youthful BBnZ Live label in January 2013, CwesiOteng is en route to having an incredible year this year as he guns for six awards at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) slated for 18th May at the AICC. He is nominated in the categories: Overall Artiste of the Year, Gospel Artiste of the Year, Overall Album of the Year, Video of the Year, Gospel Album of the Year and Gospel Song of the Year, obviously for his avant-garde contribution to the gospel music scene in Ghana by way of the distinct quality music and videos he churned out in the year under review that brought him into the limelight after having broken through onto many prestigious music platforms including ones hitherto did not allow gospel music.

On the same night, he will be ministering on stage at the Ghana Christian Council’s Christian Community Music Awards dubbed the Most Wantedat the National Theatre where he has three nominations: Contemporary Gospel Song of the Year (God Dey Bless Me), Praise Song of the Year (Kabiyesi) and Inspirational Song of the Year (God Dey Bless Me).

Cwesi’s freshest single in 2013,’ I Win’ released early this year is now a motivational anthem receiving huge plaudits all over Africa and abroad mostly in UK and US. He is billed among the headline artistes for the 2013 Africa Gospel Music Awards slated for July 6 in London.
