Yet another foundation has been launched!
Baci, real name Abigail Baciara Bentie winner of the 2014 edition of TV3’s Ghana Most Beautiful pageant has unveiled her foundation, Malol-lol Ghana Foundation.
“Malol- lol” means “Thank You”. Explaining the meaning of the name, “I represent a brand that deals with culture, which is Ghana Most beautiful so I had to use a name which also represents my culture that is why I came about Malol- lol”.
The aim of the foundation is to help needy but brilliant student across the country. Prior to the launch, Baci had visited some selected schools in some deprived areas to provide them with educational facilities.
She said the poor condition of students in the Northern part of Ghana obliged her to establish the foundation.
“When I went round the Upper West Region, I realized that there are countless brilliant but needy students and that brought tears to my eyes. These students lack basic resources for their basic education and that has made me establish this foundation to help promote basic education in the country”
“I have realized that we need to push a lot of students when it comes to ICT, also push a lot of students to inculcate good reading habit so that they will grow with and again show them how to wash their hands to prevent them from diseases.”
The launch was hosted by Pastor Azigiza Jnr and attended by Hon Rashid Pelpuo, MP for Wa Central, Mr. Adams Sulley, Mrs. Comfort Asare from Department of Social Welfare, Poka, winner of 2013 Ghana Most Beautiful, Traditional Chiefs and many others.
