Nigeria’s Mavins Group under the tutelage of Don Jazzy stole the show at their maiden performance in Ghana during the much publicized 5th edition of the Tigo Ghana Meets Naija musical concert held at the Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday, May 23, 2015.
The Mavins Group which was represented by Don Jazzy, Di’Ja, Reekado Banks, D’Prince, Dr. SID and Korede Belo minus Tiwa Savage impressed on the night with their individual performances then climaxed it by performing their hits Looku Looku, Adaobi and Dorobucci.
Sarkodie by far was the best act from the Ghanaian side. He was in his usual top form and confirmed why he is still the highest paid Ghanaian musician currently. He simply did not disappoint.
Stonebwoy did not just live up to the expectation, especially with the Artiste of the Year tag on his neck, he could have done better. His performance was just forgettable.
Other performers on the night included Shatta Wale, MzVee, Dobble, Keche, Nero X, Galaxy, Ruff N Smooth, Sheyi Shay from Nigeria, comedian DKB among others.
The event was powered by Empire Entertainment and proudly brought to you by Tigo Music and supported by UniBank, Hennessy, Oak Plaza Hotel, Africa World Airlines, Best Western Hotel, Enovate, Mentos and Euro Star limousines.
