On Thursday March 12, 2015, the world celebrated Kidney Day.
World Kidney Day (WKD) is an annual global awareness and education event, held on the second Thursday in March. It provides the perfect opportunity to get out in the community and share the WKD message with friends, family and people you meet.
To commemorate the day, The Juliet Ibrahim Foundation took to the street of Accra to educate the public on the symptoms and causes of Kidney Cancer.
Before the walk, she told Kafui Dey on Starr FM that she lost two aunties as a result of their Kidney failing them.
The Juliet Ibrahim Foundation Awareness Walk was sponsored by Rigimed and Verna Mineral Water. Free bottled water was given to pedestrians as a recommended fluid!
