As part of their Corporate Social Responsibility, leading events organizing outfit, Empire Entertainment from the Empire Group of Companies has donated to the Lartebiokorship Cluster of Schools in Accra.
The company which celebrated 5th edition of their annual Tigo Ghana Meets Naija this year on Friday, May 12, 2015 donated items worth thousands of Ghana Cedis to the school to aid in their growths.
The items donated include 10 bags of cement to see to the completion of the walling of your football pitch. In addition, the team presented a refurbished goal posts and a set of goalpost nets.
For the building of physical activity, the school was presented with 20 footballs, keepers’ gloves, hygiene items and whistles. To outfit the schools teams, 72 football jerseys was also presented.
The school was also presented with signage plaques for the labeling of each school.
According to the CEO of the company, Nathaniel Kwabena Adisi Anokye, popularly known as Bola Ray, the donation is part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility.
“It is our firm belief that educating, nurturing and encouraging the youth is one way to ensure the future of our community and nation. We have all been young before and have countless memories of our school days where lessons were learned, experiences shared and bonds made. These formative years are the most important and it is essential that we create a culture for academic pursuit, goal setting, determination and success”, he said
He said Empire remains committed to identifying areas of need within the locality and beyond.
“We trust that these items will be put to good use and reiterated that their doors remain open to offer mentoring opportunities as and when the opportunities arise”, he ended.
The donations were witnessed by the head teachers, teachers and pupils of the various clusters of schools as well as personnel from the Empire Group of Companies.
