Prolific Ghanaian music producer known as Mix Masta Garzy, combines all the 10 regions in Ghana to come up with a powerful peace song ahead of the general elections in Ghana this year.
Ghana is about to go to the polls again to choose who they want to be the next president of the next 4 years. Ghana has a very clean record of peaceful power transition from one government to the other but, each election year, we don’t stop preaching peace before, during and after the elections. Times like this, we see peace campaigns, songs and messages floating around our airwaves and on social media as well.
Mix Masta Garzy who is also the CEO of 2MG Music, has joined the campaign and has asked the support of artistes and industry professionals to make this awareness have a bigger impact in the preaching process. To make the message get to all corners of the country, this song featured 10 artistes representing all the regions in Ghana. The chorus was written by the VRMG front-liner; EDEM and the outro featured the MUSIGA president, Bice Osei Kuffour a.k.a. Obour.
Artistes featured on the song are, Naa Norley (Chorus), Kofi Metta (Ga Rap), Snow B (English / Fante, Sing), Amerado ( Twi Rap), Tuba (Dagbani, Sing ), Oteniba (Hausa Rap), Freda Rhymz (English / Twi Rap), Ayesem (Fante Rap), Torgbe (Ewe Rap) and Renner who did ragga to serve as an icing on the beautiful “cake”. The song comes with a Music Video which is directed by Yaw Skyface.
