On Tuesday, October 3, Parliament is scheduled to resume its duties.

Members of the house are expected to resume for the Third Meeting of the First Session.

By Standing Order 37, Speaker Aaron Mike Oquaye served the 275 members notice on Wednesday, September 27, of the commencement of the Meeting and are expected to assemble at midday for proceedings of the House to take motion.

On Wednesday, August 5, the Seventh Parliament of the Fourth Republic went on recess.

However, the notice served by the speaker of the House, Aaron Mike Oquaye suggests after over a month, the House will be back for business.

The Meeting is expected to consider the legislation – to be proposed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo – to have August 4 declared as Founders Day and September 21 made Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day.
