In the build up to the polls, Gilbert Mensah Amartey, had accused the  Okiti-Duah and Mr Amartey Mensah of having used their positions in the party to influence the registration of non-party members.

These accusations came on the back of the destruction of the NDC’s voters’ register for the Ledzokuku constituency. He further called for the disqualification of his opponents in the parliamentary race.
