With movie and music personalities endorsing political parties and candidates ahead of the crucial General Elections on November 7, highlife musician, Nana Quame has said that there is nothing wrong in that.
According to him that practice is done in the western world, “I think it’s good to endorse presidential candidates because it’s a practice that is common in the US and U.K and I don’t see anything wrong with it so if I have to endorse NPP why not”.
He said he would gladly vote for the NPP flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo if he were a registered voter in Ghana.
In an interview on ‘The Zone’, Tuesday, Nana Quame said, “The truth of the matter is, I haven’t got a vote because I wasn’t around when the registration was done but if I got a vote…I will vote for the NPP for one or two reasons.”
“I was touched when Nana Addo said he left everything in the hands of God after the 2012 election petition and not everyone will do that. Imagine what would have happened if Nana didn’t accept the outcome because there were people who were ready to do crazy things.”
