Novotel Accra City Center is organizing an art exhibition themed: “Wall to Wall” on Thursday, December 5, 2013.
The exhibition will feature the recent paintings of two painters, Ben Agbee, and Mawuli Quartey, alongside Nana Asaase; a contemporary Ghanaian poet.
Nana Asaase, who has graced the stages of several events across the country, has promised to delight patrons with a string of worth remembering poetry performances infused with music.
The opening of the exhibition is at 6pm on December 5 and it will be open till January 28, 2014.
Nana Asaase and his team are also billed to perform at the re-opening of the Rex Cinema in Accra on 7th December, when ‘Kwaku Ananse,’ a film by Akosua Adoma Owusu will be premiered. The show opens at 6:30pm.
The film which illustrates traditional Ghanaian folklore was first premiered at Alliance Francaise and it is being premiered the second time at the Rex cinema in a bid to revive patronage of the cinema. The event would see performances from Ebo Taylor, Kyekyeku and This House is not for sale and others.
The film features Grace Omaboe popularly known as Maame Dokono and Agya Koo Nimo.
The night before, on Faemers’ Day, 6th December, Nana Asaase and his team will grace the stage of Citi FM’s highlife concert, the Music of Ghanaian Origin (MOGO) at the National Theatre.
