‘My cross roads’, a film produced by HIV Ambassador, Joyce Dzidzor Nartey will be premiered on Friday, October 4 at the National Theatre.
The film which is based on Ms Nartey’s true life story, features John Dumelo, Ecow Smith-Asante, Vicky Zugah and Benjamin Kwadey.
The main aim of the movie, according to Ms Nartey, is to intensify education and compliment government efforts at sensitising the public on the nature of the disease.
“It is also to strengthen education on pre-marital sex and its attendant dangers,” says Nartey who is HIV positive.
She said she contacted HIV in her efforts to make a living. The young woman has made her story widely known through seminars, workshops and talks in schools since being diagnosed with the disease.
The talented Ms Nartey is also a singer and has backed several top Ghanaian musicians live on stage and in the studio. She also acts in My Cross Roads.
The film will be shown in selected second- cycle institutions across the country after the premiere.
