Multichoice Ghana partners with Tigo Ghana Limited! Customers can now pay for Services with Tigo Cash

MultiChoice Ghana Limited has partnered with Tigo Ghana to provide consumers and businesses with a real-time electronic payment channel.

The partnership between the two organizations provides a mobile payment facility for customers to pay for all the packages offered by MultiChoice Ghana. Self-service real-time payment options will be available for subscribers through the Tigo Cash Wallet, a secure mobile banking and payment mobile application designed for convenience and security.

“Coming right on the heels of the MultiChoice self-service (*759#), the Tigo Cash partnership is another avenue for us to serve our subscribers better.” Cecil Sunkwa – Mills, General Manager MultiChoice Ghana, mentioned.

“MultiChoice is always interested in finding different means of using technology to benefit our consumers, if you follow the trend of our decoder boxes and add-ons, you will notice that we always incorporate technology into our systems. It is the way forward. TigoCash is totally secure and convenient. There’s no need to worry about working hours, or visit any of our offices to make payments anymore”, she further added.

“To use the service to pay your MultiChoice subscription, all you need to do is dial *501# on your phone, select option 3 for ‘Pay Bill’, choose Utility under category, enter amount you wish to pay along with your reference number and select DStv and finally confirm with your 4-digit PIN” explained Tara Squire, Director of Mobile at Tigo Ghana.

“We are always looking for convenient ways to make our customers lives easy, helping them pay their bills with ease is a delight for us, we are glad to take the queue away”, he added.

MultiChoice Ghana offers packages that allow subscribers the flexibility in pricing and choice, ranging from DStv Premium, DStv Compact +, DStv Compact, DStv Family and DStv Access as well as GOtv Value and GOtv Plus bouquets. Specialist bouquets offer a range of exciting channels that cater specifically to various cultural and language markets such as the Indian, French, Chinese and Portuguese bouquets.

MultiChoice Ghana has also launched several new services and add on services such as DStv BoxOffice (now open to all Premium, Compact and Compact Plus subscribers), DStv CatchUp, DStvNow and DStv Online.

Entries Extended For the 2015 Edition Of The DStv Eutelsat Star Awards


Due to popular demand, MultiChoice and Eutelsat are pleased to announce that entries for the DStv Eutelsat Star Awards have been extended until Friday, 20 November 2015. We are calling all learners between the ages of 14 – 19 to write an essay or design a poster on “how satellites have helped us to understand and take care of our planet”.

The DStv Eutelsat Awards are open to all students from secondary (high) or combined schools in Africa where MultiChoice Africa maintains operations. Entry forms can be obtained from any MultiChoice Resource Centre, the nearest MultiChoice office or copies can be downloaded from Entries can be submitted in English, French and Portuguese. The awards collateral is also available in three languages (English, French and Portuguese). Only entries submitted on the prescribed entry form will be eligible.

Participants not only stand a chance to win great prizes within their respective countries but overall winners will be rewarded with a trip of a lifetime; the overall winning essay – a trip with his/her parent/legal guardian to Eutelsat in Paris, France and onwards to a spaceport to attend a live rocket launch. For the overall winning poster – a trip with his/her parent/legal guardian to Eutelsat in Paris and a satellite construction site. For the runner-up poster and essay entries a trip with their parent/legal guardian to visit MultiChoice in Johannesburg and the South African National Space Agency at Hartebeesthoek.

The winners will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony in Uganda during February 2016.
