Big Brother season 8, dubbed The Chase, was launched to the media in Accra at the Villa Monticello Hotel in Accra on Sunday 26th May 2013.
Attendees at the event included former Ghanaian Big Brother Africa housemates, Eazzy, Keita Osei and Alex Biney, actress Lydia Forson and Head of Corporate Communications and External Affairs of Airtel Ghana, Mr. Donald Gwira.

‘Scandal’ actress Lydia Forson and one of Africa’s finest Disk Jockeys, DJ Black, were introduced as Multichoice Ghana Social Media Ambassadors. With a group of core social media followers and a close knit community, Lydia and DJ Black will share their thoughts and expertise about the DStv brand (services and products) through social media. This will include highlights, promotions and giveaway competitions on Facebook and Twitter.
Dubbed as The Chase, Big Brother season 8 features 28 housemates including two Ghanaian representatives, Elikem Kumordzi and Selorm Galley (Selly). The winner will take home a cash prize of $300,000.
