Multichoice Ghana on Thursday 16th May 2013, hosted a swanky social ladies event at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra. The event was attended by ladies from the media and art industry, annual subscribers and business executives.
According to Marketing/PR Manager of Multichoice Ghana, Ms. Anne Sackey, the event was a social event that served to strengthen the company’s relationship with its female stakeholders, to create a networking platform for women as well as an opportunity to showcase DStv’s array of channels that appeal to its female audience.
Female entrepreneurs also talked to the guests about various useful tips in the areas of financial management, health, fashion and appropriate make-up, all of which were linked to various DStv programmes.
Addressing the guests, the General Manager of Multichoice Ghana, Mr. Cecil Sunkwa Mills, indicated that “In recent times, the world is experiencing better jobs for women than ever before due to greater educational opportunities and female spending power has become a central engine of the economy which is changing the world for the better. Much of this increase is as a result of women’s participation in the workforce. For us at Multichoice, recognizing the power and influence of women needs to be a top priority if we are going to tap into our market’s full potential”.
There were presentations by Georgette Kusi-Boateng of Adom Sika Microfinance on Financial Management and Nana Yaa Omane Peprah of Nkapo on Appropriate Make-Up and Accessorizing. Also, Emalia-Jane Hamidu of Black Cotton made a presentation on Natural Hair and Beauty Salon whilst Laurene Boateng, a dietitian and lecturer at the University Of Ghana School Of Allied Health Sciences presented on Health.
