Reigning Miss Ghana UK 2012, Miss Esther Afua Anima Titi-Lartey, who is currently in the country has indicated her wish to work with the various stakeholders within the education sector to promote education among the youth.
According to the Miss Titi-Lartey, “from recent studies, it has become obvious that a nations future and success depends on its human capital. For this reason, it is appropriate to develop a systemic approach to develop the populace.
Education is key to a nation’s development and the responsibility doesn’t rest solely the government but each of us and we have to start from a point. For me, I think it is right to target the younger generation who are the future leaders of the country”.
The beauty queen is scheduled to visit selected schools in including Labone Secondary School, Rosharon Montessori and Ghana Christian High where should would speak to the students on education and its benefits to the individual and the country as a whole.
Miss Titi – Lartey will also be doing a series of media interviews to drum home her message and make appearances at several social gatherings. Together with Bola Ray, she presented an award at the 2013 Ghana Music Award and was a special guest at the launch of 2013 Ghana Meets Niaja Concert.
Esther Afua Anima Titi-Lartey, a 20 year old Sociology student of Bedfordshire University, beat 19 other beautiful ladies to the Miss Ghana UK 2012 crown at the Miss Ghana Pageant last year at the plush Troxy. The event was attended by several high profiled persons which included His Excellency, Professor Kwaku Danso-Boafo, Ghana High Commission to the UK and Togolese football star, Emmanuel Adebayor of Tottenham Hotspur FC.
The Miss Ghana UK Beauty Pageant is organized by D -Vision Limited and Akwaaba UK.
