‘Medicine For Love’ Auditions Slated For June 20

You may have seen the picture on Instagram, twitter or being used as a profile picture on Facebook, for close to two weeks now, there has been a buzz on social media about an audition for a stage play “Medicine for love ” for theater lovers and actors, this could be that break you have been waiting for to be casted in a play that stars Award Winning actors Naa Ashorkor Mensah-Doku, Eddie Nartey and others.

Students of the school of performing arts, National Film and Television Institute and indeed everyone who loves theater is being invited to audition for a chance to be casted in the biggest comedy to hit the national theater.

The play, “Medicine For Love” tells the story of a young politician contesting for a parliamentary seat of his constituency and has been sent two wives by different members of his family each of them having decided on their own that it’s about time he got married. The first wife moves in with her father, whitest the second wife moves in with her mother.

The house is immediately turned into a battlefield with warring rivals and their families accusing one another of making medicine to win the young politician’s love. In the midst of the chaos and in the heart of the electioneering campaign, arrives a Message from his maternal aunt announcing the arrival of a third wife.

So come this Saturday, 20th June 2015 at 12pm at the Starr FM, Meridian House on the Ring Road, show up for auditions, be hopeful and give off your best.

The play is a Nigerian comedy written by  James Ene Henshaw to be directed by Ama Achiaa Prempeh and produced by April Communications is set to be staged at the National Theater in October.Medicine For Love
