Award winning Ghanaian actor, Majid Michel has disclosed that a long list of Ghanaian celebrities, himself included, will storm the Accra Sports Stadium to support Joseph Agbeko in his bout against Luis Melendez.
The Ghanaian will face the Colombian in an International Bantamweight Organization (IBO) bout on Friday, March 22.
Majid Michel, who was present at Joseph Agbeko’s work-out session at the Bridge Gym in Accra Wednesday, told Joy Sports that he is joining an impressive list of Ghanaian celebrities to support the Ghanaian boxer to victory.
He disclosed that, renowned personalities including CoDed (of 4×4), Kwaisey Pee, Fred Nuamah and Kwabena Kwabena are some of the names fans should expect at the ringside of Agbeko.
He said an exciting prelude to the much anticipated fight will be Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Samini singing the national anthem.
According to him, “We are great fans when it comes to sports, boxing being one of them. Joseph has a fight on Friday; we came here to support him. Seeing us around gives him a lot of motivation.”
“He came to train here – reflex training and everything – he was very good, we are looking forward to Friday,” the 2012 African Movie Academy Awards (AMAAs) Best Actor in a Leading Role winner added.
