Kumasi Asante Kotoko have won the Ghana Premier League after beating New Edubiase 2-1 Wednesday.
The Porcupine Warriors retained the title they won last year to make it a record 23rd title, with two games to spare in the season.
The team amassed 54 points from 28 games to win the First-Capital-Plus-sponsored league.
Kotoko have so far won 17 fixtures, drawn three and lost eight.
In-form striker, Seidu Bancey, broke the deadlock with a wonderful strike in the 41st minute at the Gyamfi Park before Prince Baffoe doubled the lead on the stroke of half time.
Emmanuel Nti Mensah pulled one back for New Edubiase, but it was not enough to disrupt Kotoko’s momentum.
Coach Dramani has now equalled Cecil Jones Attuquafio’s record of back-to-back league trophy while Kotoko has also equalled the record of three-straight titles by Hearts of Oak and Ashanti Gold.
