After touring Kumasi, Takoradi, Koforidua, Tema, Obuasi, Sunyani, Akropong and other towns in the country, the Kasapreko Alomo Sankwan activation train makes a final stopover in Accra at the Jerusalem Pub in Achimota with a big concert to entertain music and comedy fans.
The ‘Alomo Sankwan’ is a weekend soup- eating campaign being organised by Strategic Communications and supported by Kasapreko Company Limited, producers of Kasapreko Alomo Bitters to entertain and interact with consumers.
Speaking to the media, CEO of Strategic Communications, Abeiku Santana said the Kasapreko Alomo Sankwan initiative was an idea put together to appreciate consumers of Kasapreko’s leading brand Alomo Bitters and its other products.
“[Kasapreko Alomo Sankwan] is a below the line marketing activations strategy to interact with consumers, so the Sankwan was an idea that we generated about four to five years ago.”
According to him, the concept was borrowed from the Sunday Omo-tuo Special and “we coined a generic working title like Sankwan and tagged it with Alomo Bitters to drive the activations” he said, adding that, “It’s been very exciting and rewarding it and we have had the opportunity to interact with patrons.”
This Sunday’s edition at the Jerusalem Pub climaxes the 20th week activations with performances by artistes, Kwesi Pee, Wutah Kobby, Jupiter, Double, Nero X, Kwame Zaggy with comedy performances from DKB, Khemikal, John Bull, the Two Idiots and others.
Kasapreko Company placed sixth in last year’s Ghana Club 100 rankings and awarded the most Innovative Company and the Manufacturing Company of the year in 2012 by Ghana Investment Promotion Council (GIPC).
It has over fourteen brands to its credit with Alomo bitters being its flagship product. Kasapreko group of companies gave the government of Ghana an amount of $20 million as tax returns in 2014 which has contributed hugely to the economy of the country aside its countless employment opportunities.
