Nomination list for this year’s Africa Movie Academy Awards has been unveiled. The nomination party was held yesterday, April 2 at Emperors Palace in Johannesburg in South Africa.

Ghana obtained 17 nominations with 4 movies; Northern Affair directed by Leila Djansi, Kwaw Ansah’s “Good Old Days: Love of AA”, Shirley Frimpong Manso’s “Potomanto” and Brothers Keeper.

Actress cum television personality, Joselyn Dumas picked up a nominee for the AMAA 2014 AWARD FOR BEST ACTRESS IN A LEADING ROLE with a role in Northern Affair.

Adjetey Anang and Majid Michel also grabbed nominations in the AMAA 2014 AWARD FOR BEST ACTOR IN A LEADING ROLE category from the movies Potomanto and Brothers Keeper respectively.

Shirley Frimpong-Manso is also in competition for the Best Director and Best Movie nods with Potomanto.
