Despite being overlooked by the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Board for consideration into the ‘Best Male Vocal Performance’ category at this year’s awards, singer JM is not perturbed; instead he is working tirelessly to churn out beautiful tunes to the listening public.
When the nominations list for this year’s awards was made public, a lot of musicians were left out citing stringent rules and regulations of the awards. Some managers and artistes who were disappointed for their exclusion in the list have attacked the members of the Board and doubted their credibility.
According to JM, instead of wasting his time to cast insults on the Board members for his inability to make the list like his colleagues are doing, he is rather focusing on working hard to release good songs and also promote them. This he said will make it difficult for the Board to ignore him again next year.
“Like any good musician, I’m disappointed for not making it into the awards” he said, continuing that “however, I’m more focused on doing more good songs. Ghana and Ghanaians should look out for me” he ended.
In his latest single titled “Twee Ben Mi (Come Close)” which is a love song, the singer is admonishing his love to get more closer since getting more closer to your partner, the more you get to know her, the less likely you are to lose her.
He commented: “That’s when you can die for each other. We all need to work on our relationship to make it what we want”.
“Twee Ben Mi (Come Close)” was produced by ABStudios. JM is signed on Speech Production under the tutelage of Mr Enock Agyepong.
