Gilbert Aggrey popularly known as Abeiku Santana has announced his intention to contest for the Member of Parliament for the Mfansteman constituency in the Central Region on the ticket of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He said that working in radio business for 18 years means he is competent enough to run for any position, “no one who has served in the radio industry and interacted with the public for 18 years will be incompetent.”
He told Citi News that:
“I have been a voice and a mouthpiece for the people for the past 18 years. I have been in radio business for 18 years. I have heard people’s grievances, I have heard people’s concerns and I think there should be a new crop of legislators.”
“I think that if the nominations are open, with the experience that I have had in public service, I will be a right candidate to contest for the National Democratic Congress in the Mfantseman constituency. I have the capability and I have the ability to deliberate, discuss issues that will come to Parliament.”
“I have been nursing the ambition of becoming a legislator, and if the nominations are open, I will contest for the Member of Parliament Candidature for the National Democratic Congress in the Mfantseman constituency.”
