Managing Editor of the ‘Insight’ newspaper has likened Okyeame Kwame’s Versatile Show to what happens in Tropicana Club in Cuba.
The renowned journalist, who was so impressed of the show held over the weekend, commended the professionalism and the production team of the show.
Okyeame Kwame organised the second edition of his “Versatile Show” on Saturday 8 November 2014 at the National Theater.
Apart from the music, the show gave Ghanaians the opportunity to experience theatre performance at a different level.
This year’s show was dubbed ‘The Beggars’, and it featured some popular Ghanaian musicians and actors like Adina Thembi, Wanluv the Kuborlor, Ekow Smith Asante, Adjetey ‘Pusher’ Anang, Keche, Choir master (Praye), Samini and others.
Tropicana on the other hand is a world known cabaret and club in Havana, Cuba. It was launched in 1939 at Villa Mina, a six-acre (24,000 m²) suburban estate with lush tropical gardens in Havana’s Marianao neighborhood.
Speaking to Kwami Sefa Kayi on PEACE FM Morning Show, ‘Kokrokoo’, Kwesi Pratt said: “The level of professionalism, production…this is a show that will rival what happens in Cuba. The humour, quality of music and the deepness of the message… I am so impressed. This is part of Tourism; not only Dipo.”
