Highlife musician Daasebre Gyamenah died today Friday July 29, 2016 at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital after short illness.
Paying tributes to him, RapDacta, Okyeame Kwame said that, the late Daasebre Gyamenah played an instrumental role in his solo career. According to him, the late musician saved his musical career when he featured on his “Kokoko” song.
“Daasebre was the hottest artiste in the system when I returned from the US and I asked him to feature on my song, “Kokoko”. When I got to the studio [a few minutes to the appointed time], he had already been there two hours ago. By the time I returned from the US, my career was dead, but Daasebre saved me. I will remember him for his song writing skills and he always likes to keep to his corner.”
Okyeame Kwame was speaking to Andy Dosty on Hit FM.
