Rapper Ghetto KB, real name Kwabena Buahin died on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at the Lekma Hospital at age 30.
His senior Brother, Bright Ampofo has told an Accra based radio station, Hitz FM events that led to his younger brother’s demise.
Prior to his death, the rapper did not complain of any ailment according to his brother.
“KB went to town on Saturday evening and came back after the rains. Then on Sunday, he left the house, strolling around the area, then about 100 metres from our house, he collapsed and fell.”
“He was then rushed to Inkoom Hospital on the Spintex Road with the help of neighbours in a taxi. We did not even know something like that had happened, so we got a call from the neighbours that KB had been rushed to the hospital so we quickly went to the hospital.”
He continued that, Ghetto KB was pronounced dead on arrival when he was transferred to the Lekma Hospital.
“We didn’t believe them so [we] asked another doctor to check again, we shook his body several times but it was confirmed that he is dead,” he added.
Ghetto KB was known mainly for his rap on Apaatse’s Wedding Day song. Before his death, he was signed on Xtra Large Music label.
