Simon Cowell has revamped his hit singing contest The X Factor, which will now provide a platform for people in the public eye, instead of regular contestants. This means well-known faces will be taking to the stage in the following categories – Groups, Unders and Overs. One of Tyler Perry’s anticipated shows that premiered on 23rd October on BET, The Oval tells the story of a family placed in the White House by people of power while also highlighting the personal side and everyday lives of the staff who run the inner workings of the nation’s most iconic residence. Shows Thursdays 8:00 pm on BET (CH 129)

Available on DStv Catch up is Temptation Island, a reality TV show where four supposedly happy couples are brought to a beautiful location – this season will take place in Maui, Hawaii – where they have to live in a separate location than their partner, surrounded by singles who are trying to tempt them to leave their current relationship for a new one. The goal of the experiment is to see if both you and your partner are as strong in your relationship as you think you are.

Inspired by creator and executive producer Matt Braly’s heritage, family and childhood trips to Bangkok, Thailand, Disney’s animated series chronicles the adventures of independent and fearless teen Anne Boonchuy after she is magically transported to a rural marshland full of frog people. Zee world lovers should keep up with The Heir, a series that explores the age long rivalry and enmity between two powerful families, Bajwas and Pawaniyas; and tells the story of Amba Pawaniya, a Punjabi mother who is forced to raise her girl child, Mannu, as a boy, in efforts to keep peace in the village and prevent her violent brother-in-law Jaggan Pawaniya from taking leadership. Showing daily on Zee World (166) at 6:00pm.

For those who enjoy Action series featuring various stories of organized crime, diamond smuggling, Black Rhinos, the CIA and terrorism in Cape Town, South Africa then Trackers is for you. Trackers is a 5-part series that you will love. Premiering on MNET (102) Sunday 27th October at 6:00pm.
