GOIL seals GH¢ 960,000 deal with Hearts of Oak & Asante Kotoko ahead of Super Clash

Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL) has signed a 12 months sponsorship deal worth GH¢ 960,000 with the two biggest Ghanaian football club’s, Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko.

The deal will have both clubs receiving GH¢ 480,000 each over the period, GH¢ 40,000 monthly and in addition provide fuel for the two teams official vehicles over the period.

The club will in return give GOIL publicity in the form of embossed company logo at the back of their jersey.

They will also display GOIL logo and products on four of their pitch panels at the club’s home matches and two pitch panels at all club’s training sessions.

Again, GOIL will be the official fuel and energy sponsor of the two clubs in all media and related materials produced in respect of the club’s programs during the entire period of the partnership.

This was revealed by Managing Director of GOIL Mr. Patrick Akorli at the signing ceremony at the company’s Executive Centre inside Cantonments this morning.

The money will heavily be invested into the welfare of players in the form of allowance support.

According to him GOIL believes supporting the local league will eventually lead to the benefit of talent development, strengthen the cash states of the clubs and promote the sport of football in general in the country.

Chairman of Hearts of Oak Strategy Committee Mr. Vincent Sowah Odotei who signed the deal for Hearts pledged his outfits readiness to honour the obligations of the deal to the latter and give them the edge to renew the contract come next year.

On his part the General Manager of Asante Kotoko Samuel Opoku Nti expressed his club’s gratitude to GOIL for the deal and the willingness to make sure they use the brand brand and its various platforms to give the GOIL brand it deserved mileage.
