Soon to hit the screen of the Ghana’s leading youth entertainment TV is the exciting, educative and informative entrepreneurial challenge- Ghana’s Next Young Entrepreneurs Series- with knowledge sharing engagements on entrepreneurial smarts.
Ghana’s Next Young Entrepreneur (GNYE) is an assessment platform designed to recruit, evaluate and provide investment in the form of start-up support and seed capital for the most promising young entrepreneur, between the ages of 18 and 35. The purpose of GNYE is to recruit the brightest business ideas based on feasibility, marketability, profitability, employability and sustainability, and give them the incentives to flourish, consequentially addressing the problem of unemployment while inspiring entrepreneurship.
To participate, applicants were required to submit a one-page executive summary of their business idea (online only www.entrepreneursafrica.org) for a review. Out of 200 businesses that were shortlisted for interview, only 30 businessesmade it through to the first round based on the strength of their presentation to the GNYE selection team.
The best 15 candidates where then selected to be provided with relevant insights into entrepreneurship smarts. After several training sessions, the contestants were given the chance to pitch their ideas out of which the final 6 have been selected to participate in the grand finale.
A total of GHC 50,000 investment in the form of seed capital and start-up support is at stake.
However, one question remains unanswered. Who will become Ghana’s Next Young Entrepreneur?
The program is also designed to share entrepreneurial smarts from forerunners, exceptional youths excelling in business and business experts from our higher learning intuitions, both on television and through organised workshops.
For this and more, join us this and every Saturday at 4 PM on Gh One TV as Robert M.Klah, motivational author and speaker, takes us on the journey of crowning Ghana’s Next Young Entrepreneur and sharing entrepreneurial smarts.
GNYE is supported by the GhOne TV, Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG), Ghana Angel Investors Network (GAIN), The African Network of Entrepreneurs (TANOE), African Recovery, iSpace, and Deegib Multimedia and powered by iQmenn.
