Members of the Ashanti Regional branch of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) have been hit by the death of award winning music producer cum sound engineer, George Forest at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital early hours of Wednesday after battling an undisclosed illness for sometime.
According to the Ashanti Regional Secretary of the MUSIGA, Evans Kwaku Atwere, members of the union were saddened about George forest demise.
The Union has sent deepest condolence to the family of the late Sound Engineer.
“We heard the shocking news this morning around 6am and we share the grief the family, siblings, mother and other family members are going through. We pray that the good Lord grants him a peaceful repose in His bosom,” Evans Kwaku Atwere said.
He stated: “George Forest has been an active member of the Union for more than two decades. On behalf of the President, executives and entire membership of the Union, “We believe that even as the Lord gives, He as well takes and are therefore comforted by that fact that our beloved brother George Forest is in a better place today’’.
He demise of Mr. George Forest us a big blow to the industry and Ghana as a whole.
