Last week, Funny Face tweeted that he left the hit television serial, Chorkor Trotro on TV3. He continued that at the appropriate time, he will come out of all the details. Now hes officially on his way to Starr 103.5 FM.
Here we go according to StarrFMonline;
Benson Ohene Oduro Boateng (Funny Face) walked into Starr 103.5 FM as the newest staff onboard the cozy ‘Starr’ flight!
Funny Face, who is well known in the entertainment circles for his natural flow as a comedian, told StarrFMonline he was “born to fool. That’s how God made me and I struggle anytime I have to be different.”
He said although comedy is who he is; radio had always been his first love. “I had always wanted the opportunity to do my comedy shows on radio and now Starr FM has presented me with that opportunity.”
Funny Face got into the limelight when he took part in a TV3 reality show called ‘Hottest Host’ in 2008. Although he was evicted in the early stages of the competition, he learned more about himself, identified and nurtured his talent.
“No one felt sorry for me when I was evicted. They all laughed because they never took me seriously – maybe because myself I didn’t look sad. As they always said, I had a funny face,” he stated.
According to him, the judges for the show advised him to carve a niche for himself using what he was more comfortable with doing.
“The judges J.O.T Agyemang and Emma Morrison told me I needed to be a comedian. ‘That is what you were born to do’. And that was how I realised I needed to do this. I needed to make people happy by being myself and I made it.”
Endorsing the Starr FM brand, Funny Face said this was the most remarkable product he had ever seen.
“This is a radio station! When I walked into the reception I was wowed. I just went like ‘O my Gwad!’ This is a great brand and it’s interesting because real programming hasn’t started yet, but everything looks perfect. I’m happy to be here,” the comedian confessed.
Funny Face will be on your dial on Starr 103.5 FM when test transmission ends at the end of August.
