Reggae lovers in the capital are having a blast with the availability of good quality entertainment in the reggae vein. For the past eight weeks, Tafari Productions has been hosting reggae shows at the Mecca of reggae music in Ghana, Rising Phoenix formerly known as Akuma Village.
Patrons have been chillaxing to the drum and bass and rhythmic vibes of reggae and dancehall music with a variety of shows.
There’s been a Queens of the Dancehall show featuring three of Accra’s finest lady presenters of reggae music – Conscious Queen of Pink FM, Empress Lomo of Radio Gold and DJ Irie of YFM’s Yard and Foryn crew; Jah Amber of Blakk Rasta’s award winning song Africa fame as well as Jatabi Mokin, a dancehall veteran from the 90’s. Other shows include the celebration of HIM Haile Selassie’s 121st Birthday.
This weekend, Tafari Productions hosts a full schedule of entertainment from Friday to Sunday. On Friday August 9, Yard and Foryn Crew starring Black Santino and DJ Irie of YFM will hold the session with a special Sanla bash followed by Bukom Dancehall and Friends on Saturday August 10 with King Adnan and friends bringing the curtain down on Sunday August 10.
Meanwhile the C.O.O of Tafari Productions Likle Joe has assured reggae lovers of an exciting weekend and beyond noting that Tafari Productions has lined up some exciting performances for the rest of the month.
