A durbar of the chiefs and people of Manfe in the Eastern Region has been held in honour of Miss Ghana 2013, Nadia Ntanu.
Miss Ntanu, who hails from the town, was the special guest at the ceremony held during a special Akwasidae event.
She was warmly welcomed and ushered into a waiting pool of distinguished chiefs, who couldn’t hide their excitement at seeing one of their own.
The reigning Miss Ghana took advantage of the warm reception, and exchanged pleasantries with influential personalities drawn across society’s high, pitching and pushing for a development-driven agenda for the community.
Ntanu is Ghana’s representative at this year’s Miss World event.
She leaves Ghana in November for the world event scheduled for London, in December.
