2013 BET Hip Hop Awards: It’s that time of the year again where BET will be honouring the Hip Hop greats at the 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards. This year promises to be loads of fun with multi-platinum artist Snoop Lion (formally Snoop Dogg) as the host. Also expect great performances at the 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards on Friday 18 October at 19:00 CAT.


October Sky: Homer Hickam (Jake Gyllenhaal) is the son of a coal miner (Chris Cooper) and set to follow in his father’s footsteps until one night in 1957 when Sputnik, the first man-made satellite, is launched into the sky. Homer’s inspired to take up rocketry himself, and although most of the town (his father included) think it’s a foolish dream, one teacher encourages Homer’s attempts. Based on a true story, this moving drama also stars Laura Dern. On 17 October at 20:00 CAT.
