All DStv subscribers will receive Spice TV on channel 192 and Hip TV on channel 324, adding to the variety of entertainment on the platform. MultiChoice is pleased to announce the launch of fashion, beauty and lifestyle channels, Spice TV and Hip TV on DStv from Tuesday 5 November.

Hip TV is an urban music and lifestyle channel that was borne out of the need to create rich, unusual content for television viewers across Africa and beyond. The channel is set to deliver exciting programmes with breath-taking twists and a refreshing break from the norm. Fashion and beauty channel, Spice TV is dedicated to exploring African fashion and culture on the continent, showcasing the latest trends, major fashion shows, designer events and professional highlights of our fashion industry professionals. Spice offers the most comprehensive and fastest reviews of fashion in Africa and internationally. The programme line-up includes shows such as Spice Runway, Diary of a Muse, Spice Focus and Fashion 360.

DStv’s Premium Open Week Is Coming! 

For one whole week starting from Monday 11 November to Sunday 17 November, DStv is opening some of its Premium channels, at no extra charge.

From DStv Access through to DStv Compact Plus subscribers will get a taste of the best in sensational sports, hit music, entertaining kiddie’s shows, intriguing documentaries and original homegrown content.

The best will be saved for last as DStv Family, Compact and Compact Plus subscribers will also have exclusive access to all the M-Net channels on Saturday 16 November and Sunday 17 November, where viewers will get a preview of the latest in world class movies, series, reality and sought after talk shows. This DStv premium week will be filled with leading content from channels such as AfricaMagic EntertainmentSuperSportComedy CentralAnimal PlanetBBC KnowledgeBBC Lifestyle, CbeebiesCrime and InvestigationDiscovery channel, Travel ChannelFox EntertainmentHistory ChannelMTV BaseMTV and Sky News. 

The viewing experience during the week will include:

  • Great and unforgettable sporting action can be seen on the SuperSport channels where the line-up includes the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers featuring games between countries such as Ukraine vs France, Nigeria vs Ethiopia, Cameroon vs Tunisia and Senegal vs Ivory Coast. AfricaMagic Celebrates 10 Years With ‘Be On Africa’ Subscriber Competition

As part of the tenth anniversary celebration of AfricaMagic in December 2013, AfricaMagic has launched a reality competition which will see two active DStv subscribers feature alongside Ghanaian actor Majid Michel and another Nollywood star in a new AfricaMagic movie. The competition and runs from now till the 29th November 2013 and open to active DStv subscribers on all bouquets, aged 21 or above. Africa’s Next Top Model: Oluchi was welcomed to the Next Top Model Family by Tyra Banks as the host and executive producer for Africa’s Next Top Model. The show will search for a fresh face from the African continent.  Catch the fun and excitement in Africa’s Next Top Model, as the search for 12 top contenders to compete for the coveted modeling contract begins every Sunday at 19:00 CAT, starting 10 November 2013.
