Nigerian music super star David Adeleke popularly known as Davido, according to reports, is optimistic of starting a school to boost education in Nigeria and also give back to society.
Myjoyonline.com’s sources in Nigeria said the Dami Duro hit singer listed the establishment of the school as part of his itinerary for this year.
The award winning artiste had tweeted in May, 2013 that: “Building a school this year… We looking 4 land.. Gonna start with Osun State then move to other states! #providing affordable education.”
Davido, affirmed in an interview the Official Naija Top 10 on MTV Base over the weekend that, he is planning to start from the primary school level and “take it higher from there.”
This means that the rapper may start the school from a primary level and increase it to institutions of higher learning.
After the release of his highly successful The Genesis album last year, Davido also known as Omo Baba Olowo, many have been looking forward to his album.
Unfortunately for his numerous fans worldwide, Davido may not drop an album this year. The rapper is planning to release singles this year.
The 20-year-old revealed that he plans to sign a lot more artistes onto his HKN Record label before the year ends. He signed young musician Orezi onto the label last month.
Davido hopes to climax his year with a major concert in December 2013. Although it is early days yet, the rapper hopes to feature some of Nigeria and Africa’s biggest names in music.
