Few people know that Ahuma Bosco Ocansey, better known as Daddy Bosco is a guitar player who used to perform with his reggae band called S.O.Z Squad.
Well, after nearly two decades of absence from the stage, Daddy Bosco and a reformed S.O.Z Squad will perform at the Rising Phoenix (former Akuma Village), off the Accra High Street, on Saturday, October 5.
The S.O.Z Squad will be one of the opening acts for the Biibiba band led by singer Chris Kyere and his bassist wife, Micha. After meeting in Berlin over 30 years ago, the couple is celebrating their 30th anniversary in show business.
Chris and Misha have featured alongside notable acts both in Ghana and abroad. Artistes they have shared stage with include Daddy Lumba, Kojo Antwi and Paapa Yankson as well as Gregory Isaacs and other reggae greats.
A number of Chris and Misha’s friends will also perform at the show. They include a German singer called Akosua, Stonebwoy, Abu Rasta and others.
The Biibiba band will launch its fifth album at the show. It is called Party Is Free.
