Cwesi Oteng, Tagoe Sisters and others make Ghana proud at Africa Gospel Music Awards 2013

Ghana’s Cwesi Oteng won one out of the five categories he was nominated in at Saturday’s African Gospel Music Awards. Other Ghanaian acts including Preachers and Nacy also won in their various categories.However, Herty Borngreat, Michael Oware (OJ), Royal Priesthood, Helen Yawson (Ghana), Ohemaa Mercy and the other Ghanaian contingent failed to win in their categories.

Tagoe Sisters won the Lifetime Achievement Award. Danny Nettey was awarded for his CONTRIBUTION TO THE PROMOTION OF GOSPEL MUSIC.

Nacy was joint winner of the African Gospel Music Producer of the year with Nigeria’s Wole Oni (Nigeria).

The Afro Rap Artiste of the Year went to Preachers.

Cwesi Oteng won Artiste of the Year West Africa.

Sonnie Badu was given the AGMA SPECIAL TRAIL BLAZER AWARD.
