Antoinette Delali Kemavor, a student of the Central University reading Pharmacy has been crowned Miss Ghana 2015.
Antoinette who describes herself as “beautiful, curious and a daring young lady with a fighting spirit” beat 20 other young ladies to win the crown at the event that took place at the Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday.
She will represent Ghana at the 65th edition of the Miss World 2015 pageant to be held on December 19, at the Crown of Beauty Theatre in Sanya, China in addition to winning the sleek Citroën C4 Aircross.
Placing the first and second runners up respectively were Rebecca Asamoah, a Dental Surgery Assistant at the College of Health in Kintampo and Afua Asieduwaa Akorfa, a Political Science and Theatre Arts student of the University of Ghana.
Volta Region represented by Eleanor Seku, Akorfa Awuma and Antoinette Kemavor won the Beauty with a Purpose award. Adwoa Konadu picked the Miss Eloquent award.
Greater Accra’s representatives Larisa Andre and Naa Adoley Owuadey went home with the Miss Gorgeous Skin, Miss Photogenic and Miss Talent awards respectively. Eleanor Seku picked the Miss Top Model award.
Second runner up, Rebecca Asamoah was the biggest winner in the individual awards; she was adjudged Miss Fitness, Miss Congeniality and the Most Disciplined of the contestants.
Saxophonist Steve Bedi, Gyedu Blay Ambolley, Wiyaala, Sheriffa Gunu and the Pan African Youth Orchestra entertained the patrons with great performances.
