Chidinma: It would be an honour to grace Butterscotch’s Stage with Blackstreet this Saturday

chidinma 2Kedike crooner, Chidinma Ekile is the latest addition to contingent of stars to perform at the highly anticipated Butterscotch Evenings.  The high profile event, to be held on Saturday, November 9 at Eko Hotel Lagos, will bring together world-class entertainment, fashion, music, networking and dance from top entertainers around the world to the city of Lagos.

After winning the hotly contested MTN Project Fame West Africa in 2011, Chidinma has remained highly sought after with her songs Jankoliko, Kedike and Emi ni Baller topping several charts. She represents the new generation of Africans who are succeeding against all odds in their chosen career.

On the event, the talented singer said “it would be an honor to grace Butterscotch’s stage and share the stage with Grammy-award winning group, Blackstreet; I’m looking forward to it. Heard so much about the last edition, it will be a swell evening for me”.

The Black tie event made its successful debut in May 2013, with top entertainers like Waje, Praiz, Bill Belamy, Johnny Gill and others on stage.

One of the most exciting parts of the Butterscotch Evening experience will be brought to guests by the Grammy Award Winning American RnB Group Blackstreet from New York. With hits like Don’t Leave me; Before I let you go; Money Can Buy me love; Tonight is the Night; I like the way you work it; Booty Call,   Blackstreet is no new comer when it comes to the delivery of mesmerizing tunes that set the ladies’ hearts a-flutter. They are collaborating with new artists to create new sounds that connect with both their older fans as well as a younger crowd. Indications emerged that the group will deliver some of the new tunes as well.

The five course dinner that will be served to guests would be prepared by celebrity chef, Alan Coxon, who is a renowned British TV presenter and “Food Archaeologist”.  As a multiple award-winning chef, his culinary expertise is second to none. He is the creator and executive producer of the cooking series, ‘From Bombay to Birmingham’.

The dance segment of the event will be performed by a dance group named Flawless. Flawless is a fast rising all-male street dance group. Its eight members have been described by some as a bundle of talents, with their creative and diverse skills blended to produce nothing short of beautiful dance art.

Internationally acclaimed Fashion Company will also be present on the runway.
