The winner of the maiden edition of the Airtel Trace Music Star Ghana version, a music talent search competition organized in collaboration between Airtel and Trace TV, Linda Goraseh has said that she is ready to represent the country at the Pan African edition of the Airtel Trace Music Star in Kenya.
On February 14, 2015 at the forecourt of the World Trade Centre in Accra, Linda Goraseh was adjudged as the Ghana winner of the music reality show by the judges; broadcaster Kafui Dey, singer Raquel and rapper Edem.
She defeated other finalist; Francis Tengey, Cassandra Tettey, Princess Dartey and Angela Ackim to pick the nod to represent the country in the Pan African event.
She is expected to leave Ghana by March 24, 2015 to join other 12 winners from Nigeria, Kenya, Chad, DRC, Zambia, Malawi, Uganda, Tanzania, Burkina Faso, Madagascar, Gabon and Congo for the Pan African finale on March 28, 2015.
In an interview with GhanaGist.Com, she said that in terms of preparation everything is going on smoothly. She also mentioned her anticipation for the trip.
“Right now, in terms of my vocals, I’m doing some few voice training and then I’m also preparing myself for the trip as well,” she told GhanaGist.Com.
About her expectation, she said she expects the finale to be tough and challenging. However, she believes that, she also has what it takes to win it for Ghana.
“I’m expecting it [the finale] to be very challenging because I’m going to meet other very good singers from other African countries. I believe that everybody is good but I believe that I have what it takes and I can emerge the winner just like the others,” she said confidently.
She is therefore calling on all Ghanaians to rally behind her with their votes to help her triumph in Kenya on March 28.
“I would like to tell Ghanaians to vote for me. They should text GOR to Airtel code 533 and rally behind me so that I can bring the victory back to Ghana.”
